THYKK was founded by two sisters in 2021 with a simple intention: to empower women through beautiful, confidence-enhancing hair.

At its core, THYKK is rooted in the belief that when you feel your best, you move differently, show up fully, and embody your most confident self.

We offer Clip-In, Fusion, Tape-In, and Weft extensions made from double-drawn, 100% Remy human hair, available in 31+ shades and continuously expanding.

Born and raised in Iceland and now based in Canada, co-founders Ingunn and Signy built THYKK as a reflection of both heritage and vision. The name “THYKK” represents fullness, quality, and confidence — a word that carries the same meaning across both English and Icelandic.

Ingunn has specialized in hair extensions since 2008, with extensive training across cutting, colouring, and advanced extension techniques. Her expertise is rooted in precision, performance, and creating seamless, natural results.

Signy brings a background in business, community, and brand building, with over a decade of experience in the health and wellness space. Her focus is on creating meaningful, elevated experiences both online and in person.

Together, their vision is to create more than just hair — but a feeling.
