Here at THYKK, we're thinking about the longevity of your extensions. We love that our extensions are long lasting, but eventually all hair is retired. To continue the life of your extensions we've partnered with Matter of Trust, a US based organization that felts hair into absorbent mats used to help clean up oil spills.

So instead of throwing away your old extensions let us recycle them for you and minimize the amount of recyclable waste that goes into the landfill. See below for details. 

How does hair help the environment?

Hair is a natural fiber that is widely known for its ability to absorb oil. Through their Clean Wave Program, the thoughtful people at Matter of Trust developed a method to felt hair into mats. These mats are used in storm drains to soak up petrochemicals and they also help to clean waterways.
